PUBLIC VS PRIVATE
You have the option of making your section/state power ratings public, to be displayed on our site.  If you are just doing a "secret" test of the ratings to decide whether they suit your needs and are not going to be using them to determine seeding/selection, then it may make sense to have them private.  In just about every other case, though, we strongly recommend having the ratings be public.  When you choose to have them public, coaches, players, parents, and fans have direct access to the up-to-the-minute ratings 24 hours a day throughout the entire season through the main page of the Freeman Ratings site.  Allowing the entire sports community in your area to track the ratings for the full season really helps to educate everyone on the process, as well as eliminate end-of-the-season surprises.
