QB John Uribe returns, as does his favorite target, TE Bryson Lloyd. With no experienced rusher returning, the Dons may have to rely heavily on that passing game. Defensively, they weren't especially dominant, but only 2 teams put up more than 30 points on them last year--one of them being powerhouse St. Bonaventure. With only 4 starters returning, though, a few newcomers will have to step up this fall. Overall, Santa Barbara will field a somewhat small team (both in numbers and in size), but assistant coach Douglas Caines describes them as "tough, scrappy, dedicated kids" with a "strong core of seniors".
