With 8 starters returning on defense, they could improve on the already impressive 16.1 points per game they allowed last year (actually, having the same stats may be considered an improvement considering the schedule upgrade). All-Trinity League DE Jacob Romero and LB Dominic Greco ("I think he has a chance to be a great one," says Coach Troy Thomas) will be among the caretakers of the defense. Two-time All-Trinity League RB Greg Portis will be running behind RT Matthew Jakubiec, who has received high praise from various media outlets. Servite will again be considered among the top contenders for the CIF D-II Bowl game.
