The Wolverines return 7 starters from a team that only won one game last year. The news, however, isn't all bad. Many of the players who saw action last year were only sophomores, like QB Joe Galosic. The offense really struggled last year. Coach Jeff Veeder likes his young skill position players, but is concerned about the inexperience and lack of depth on the lines. It must be said that Aliso Viejo did have a pretty tough schedule last year and at least early in the season, the defense held up reasonably well. With only 2 returners this year, it's possible you'll see regression, but that could be offset by the increased help from an improved offense. Their schedule will be tougher overall, so you may or may not see their win total increase this year, but there should be some real growth for the 2009 season.
