Outlook: 2007 was a learning experience for Eastside High School, mainly because it was the first year of varsity action for the school and they only had sophomores and juniors. The Lions hope to turn that experience into success as they establish their first senior class and return virtually everybody. You have to love Coach Steve Lockhart's attitude and optimism. "Next year, Eastside (with its first senior class) is expecting to make the playoffs and give Palmdale a run for the Golden League Championship. Defense as a whole will be our strength." That unit will be led by DE Deron Gray, CB Marcus Bonner, and linebackers Steven Sims and Ian Swift.
