Neither the varsity nor the JV team secured a victory on the field last year, but there might be a pretty good reason for that. A very significant percentage of the team were sophomores. QB Sylvester Flores, RB/S Daven Arredondo, WR/DB Juan Yepiz, and TE/DL Christian Gaines (among many others) all either started or saw a lot of playing time... and all are incoming juniors. Now, despite all of the on-the-field experience, it must be noted that this team will still be relatively young, especially on the O-line. That year of experience, however, should make this team clearly better in '08 and a potential threat in '09.
