Outlook: Millikan High School had its most successful season in recent memory last year, posting only its 2nd winning record since 2001 and the most wins during that span-- 7. Can the Rams put together another winning season in 2008? Well, it could be tough, but don't put it past them, but the majority of the Moore League has seemed to improve at least a little (even powerhouse Poly) and the non-league schedule is arguably tougher. Returning is QB Jake Holtz, leading WRs Kierre Beverly and Silver Vaifanua, and RB Jonathan Sanders (not their leading rusher, but the one who saw much action in '07). The O-line appears to need to be mostly reconstructed, but it will have Rudy Morefield as its anchor. The defense wasn't too bad last year, but many of the leaders have departed. As is the case for many high schools teams, many of the players that will star on offense will also be the playmakers on D. Depth could be an issue, but a 6-4 JV team is on the way to assist in that department. Last year was the first since 2002 for Millikan to make the playoffs, but don't count them out of a return trip this fall.
