Due to a variety of reasons, the school had been shut down for a rebuilding project in 2004. Finally, last fall, the school reopened and fielded a football team immediately. Huge learning curve for all of the kids who had to get acclimated to their new school? Not completely, as the Hornets not only were able to qualify for the playoffs, but also managed to advance to the 2nd round. Returning to lead the offense is QB Ronald Yell. On defense, look for LBs Jamar McClendon and MyJeal Price. Time will tell what this small, but speedy Hornet team will do for an encore.
