In 2008, however, the prospects may not be quite as bright. Only 8 starters return, but luckily, one of them will be All-South Coast League RB Ryan DeLeon. The Tritons will be breaking in a new QB, probably Duke DeLancelotti, whose main targets should be solid (WR Graham Tenney and Josh Leff). "We will be a balanced offense, able to run and pass," says Coach Eric Patton. LBs Jack Anderson and Dylan Reda will be joined by DBs Ben Gomez and Leff on a defense whose best asset, according to Coach Patton, is speed. The incoming JV team went 7-2 for San Clemente, so it's possible that any gaps that present themselves could be quickly filled by the youngsters moving up to varsity.
