The team schedules one out-of-state game a year, traveling to Alaska, Texas and Hawaii. This year, the Falcons travel to Alice, Texas to take on one of the oldest football programs in the state - the Alice Coyotes. Coach Louie Walters believes this year will be the best team in the Scotts Valley school history. Kyle Hardwick produced 1238 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns last season as the team's leading running back. He also set a CCS Section playoff record with 355 rushing yards in one game. Travis Awe LB was last year's leading tackler with 86 tackles/assists and 3 sacks. Trevin Dean F/S recorded 62 tackles/assists and a team-best 5 interceptions. Other players to watch include Joey Bright WR, Brad Hartman DB and Mitchell Spalding-OL. Coach Walters also mentioned that the new starting quarterback Blake Jurich may be the best ever seen at the school. The kicking game, a strong factor in Falcons football, may struggle this year.
