The core returning talent includes Sullivan Grosz LB, Nate Dalena Center, Thomas Kilgore LT, David Garcia LB/FB (leading rusher), Dimitri Gonos TE, Alex Coyle WR/DB, Mario Pinedo RB/DB and Daniel Whittemore QB. The multi-talented Grosz is a nationally ranked DI recruit prospect at the defensive end position. He was the second highest tackler as well as a good producer of offensive yards. Although not the top quarterback of the 2007 season, Whittenmore has gained a lot of game experience and produced good passing yards. Coach Anthony Goston has put in a lot of work in preparing the Panther wide receivers and safeties, but the linemen, linebackers and running backs are strong. The team will benefit from a new offensive staff. Those close to the Panthers expect the team to be much better this year. "We have good leadership and our strength and speed is much better. We also have more depth than last year[…] This team has the ingredients you need to be successful in high school football," said Goston. The coach and his Panthers expect to compete for league championship and advance further into the playoffs this season.
