The Hawks have a decent chance of another top 3 league finish (and finishing with 7 wins), but that is mostly because of a downgraded non-league schedule as well as a slightly weaker San Andreas League overall. Only 5 starters return including 1000-yard rusher Demarcus White, but no one who has thrown a pass at the varsity level. Only 1 returns on the O-line, Michael Philipp, so they may struggle winning the battle at the line of scrimmage on offense. On defense, though, they should be able to hold their own at the LOS with two returning on the DL, Chris Bradford and Alex Boykins. Coach Marcus Soward, who was the defensive coordinator last year, feels his linebacker corp will be strong as well, led by junior Ofa Fifita. Arroyo Valley probably won't be quite as strong as last year, but that may not become evident until the playoffs due to a slightly weaker schedule.
