That certainly looks likely as they return 14 starters, including QB Angel Alejandra, RB Tra Sumler (over 1100 yards last year), WR/DB Alex Chang (about 500 yards receiving), and junior TE Luis Diaz (about 200 yards). The defense returns 7 starters including LBs Cesar Chavez and Gilbert De La Rosa, as well as the secondary, led by Chang. The main question marks for the Panthers are the lines on both sides of the ball. Another factor may come into play for Rosemead and the entire Mission Valley League, a move down to the Southern Section Mid-Valley Division from the Southeast Division. Does that open an easier path to a divisional title? Time will tell.
