With 13 starters returning, you could expect the Vikings to once again make some noise. That racket, however, will have to be made in a new division, the Inland, where last year's CIF State D-I bowl participant resides. Coach Ted Wadkins expects the defense to be the strength of his team; it has Don'Ziel Collins, a 2nd team All-Central Division/All-Riverside County strong safety, and All-Central Division LB Joshua Dozier. All-Central Division RB Jonathan Norton and big junior FB Dorian Cannon will lead a formidable rushing attack. Concerns about bringing in a new QB (possibly Joshua Moxley) and a lack of size on the offensive and defensive lines cannot be ignored. If the linemen can use quickness and technique to their advantage, not to mention hitting their new weight room, Moreno Valley certainly has the talent at the skill positions to be a high-quality team.
