This year should be more of the same, but perhaps not in the same manner. The defense could improve with 7 starters returning, such as LB Jacob Guzman and defensive linemen Felipe Salas and Nalik Davis, all of whom were among the team leaders in tackles in '07. Offensively, the Rebels will be hit hard with the loss of their extremely productive QB. The aforementioned Guzman and Khalfani Thomas could be expected to carry the offensive load at RB. Coach Jeff Steinberg anticipates a difficult league schedule in '08. "This could be the most balanced the Citrus Belt League has been in recent years," said Steinberg.
