The Cardinals had a fairly successful team last year and have many of those players returning--notably, the Camino Real League MVP of '07, Jeffrey Taylor, in addition to a 9-1 JV squad. Coach Pete Smolin also likes a newcomer at QB, Christian Espinoza. This team should be ready to again challenge for the league title this fall, but the Camino Real has been moved up to the Northwest Division of the Southern Section, where a certain Oaks Christian resides.
