The Modoc Braves return eleven starters and add a successful 9-1 junior varsity squad. All-Division and All-leaguer players Justin Estes RB/DE, Josh Wood DE/TE and Dee Hunsaker DB/RB/QB will have a huge impact on this year's team. Estes racked up 1628 yards and 21 touchdowns. Wood registered 10 sacks, 118 tackles, 4 touchdowns, and had a 39 yard punt average. Hunsaker recorded 13 touchdowns and 6 interceptions. The Braves may struggle to get an offensive line up to speed. Coach Shaun Wood noted, "I thought we were in a rebuilding year last year, but we lost the league title by only one point and then we advanced to Northern Section Championship game. I expect another title and a run at the sectional championship again. We've won the league title 3 of the last 5 years."
