That should be somewhat disconcerting for their league-mates alone, but when you add in the fact that the Saints return 17 starters, it should be downright scary! Returning QB Mick Kalmar had a nice TD to Int ratio last year, but the real story is the rushing game. San Dimas is returning 3 players who rushed for over 500 yards, led by Nico Barbone who racked up over 1700 and 17 TDs. Last year's D was pretty stout, especially during league play where they allowed fewer than 10 points per game. LB Kyle Withem is coming off of a year where he was involved with over 120 tackles. Other top returners on D include DL Ryan Doll, LB Cheyne Mascarenas, DL Matt Thrall, and DBs Erek Brown and Daniel Joseph. All of these returners combined with the fact that the Valle Vista League was dropped to the Southern Section Mid-Valley Division means two things... 1. No more Oaks Christian in the playoffs (the Lions eliminated San Dimas last year) and 2. The Saints are among the front-runners for the divisional title.
