The Diamondbacks return only 6 starters, (only 2 on defense) but they will be joined by an outstanding JV team that finished 10-0 last year. The entire offensive backfield appears to have been replaced, but the offensive line should be solid with Malo Tev'ese, Kevin Pope (who is also at D-end), and Kyle Walsh. Last year's defense was stellar--only allowing 13.2 points per game on average--but this year it is not likely that they will be able to reach that level. The lack of experience on this team is very difficult to ignore, but Coach Ray Maholchic believes that this team may be able to perform similarly to last year's.
