Outlook: Defending CIF State D-III champion, St. Bonaventure, will be looking for another shot at a state title. While one superstar has departed the Seraph program (Darrell Scott), another emerges. RB/S Patrick Hall has already committed to USC and will be a part of a stellar defensive secondary. He will be joined by S Xavier Ramos and CBs Isaiah Burton and J.B. Dock. The offense will likely be run by new QB Logan Meyer, but he'll have Hall at RB taking on much of the load. Speaking of load, Meyer is said to be one when running the ball at 210 pounds. When he does throw the ball, his top target may be WR Drew Gibson. The O-line will be slightly on the inexperienced side as there will be 3 new starters. Although the series with Oaks Christian is no more (and thus no more direct competition for the D-III bowl berth), you can call the Seraph schedule anything but soft. In a 3-week span, they'll be taking on two of the top teams in the country in Crespi and Poly of Long Beach, the two Southern Section Pac-5 finalists from a year ago (and favorites again this year). Victories in those games and you may not hear talk about a D-III bowl game, but rather a potential Open Division bowl game.
