Outlook: The Southern Section Inland Division champion Centennial High School got to do something that a great number of high school football players only dream about...play for a state championship. The question is: what do they do for an encore? Some may expect a big drop off after an all-D-I backfield graduated. Not so fast...Taylor Martinez, a transfer from Cajon High School, has arrived at the Corona school and is the leading candidate to take over at QB (after some controversy about his eligibility). Martinez, who is drawing high interest from college recruiters, will likely be joined by RB Arthur Burns (500+ yards rushing). In order to properly utilize the wide-open offense that the Huskies have, you need good receivers such as Ricky Marvray (several D-I offers) and Nick Beasley. The defense will be led by USC commit, LB Vontaze Burfict, and DL Will Sutton (also with several offers). Coach Matt Logan feels good about where his program is. "I feel every year that we have the opportunity to compete for a CIF championship in the Inland Valley Division." A return trip to Carson is not out of the question, either.
