The Warriors only return 9 starters, but many of them were highly productive last year. Junior RB Blaine Whitson (over 1100 yards last year) will carry much of the offensive load while new QB Justin Wilson can establish himself. OL/TE David Moodie and OL Wes Klein also return. Defensively, they were the only team to hold powerful St. Margaret's to under 20 points last year. This year, LB Kory Kruthaup and S Gage Chesser are back to be among the leaders. An undefeated JV team also joins the ranks. Now that the Academy League (in which St. Margaret's plays) has moved up to the East Valley Division, there could be a clearer path to a divisional title for Calvary Murrieta.
