Unfortunately, the majority of those losses were via forfeit and the record sort of disguises the fact that this was a pretty decent small-school team. This apparently wasn't entirely unnoticed since one of the potential leading candidates for the CIF State Small School Division Bowl game (St. Margaret's of San Juan Capistrano) decided to jump onto the Warriors' schedule. The A.N.A. returns their leading RB of '07, Sherman Coaly, who will be relying on the likes of OL Sam Johnson to reestablish a strong running game for '08. Defensively, the Warriors weren't bad last year, but they will have several gaps to fill this year (the 7-1 JV team should be of help for that). As alluded to earlier, the A.N.A. put together a pretty strong non-league schedule and will even be representing California against a quality team from Nevada.
