Coach Ernie Cooper believes the strength of his team is the players' winning attitude and work ethic. "These players have won a lot of games and expect to win a lot more. [They have] worked hard during the off-season in order to get better," said Cooper. The Grizzlies may be challenged with a reloading year, having only eight returning starters and relatively small players. "We've never been real big, and we won't be big again in 2008," defended Coach Cooper. Granite Bay will add a 10-0 junior varsity squad to their ranks to help Clark Partridge FB, Eddie Thomas OT and AJ Herlitz TE, among other experienced players. Partridge was the team's second highest rusher with 777 yards last year. "We will have a tough pre-season schedule as usual, and hopefully that schedule will get us ready for a very tough league season," Cooper commented.
