They return nine starters from the champion team and reload with a 7-3 junior varsity squad. Coach Joe Cattolico said, "We had some excellent seniors to replace, but we have a good nucleus of younger players coming back." Outstanding players like Brian Beebe OL/DL, Chris Zauzig OL/DL, Peter Kelly DE, Greg Williams RB/DB/K and Taylor Congdon QB will lead the team this year. Offense returns some great athletes, but defense had significant holes to fill. "We expect to be competitive in the tough Delta River League. We will have our work cut out for us to repeat as league champions," stated Coach Cattolico. As an interesting side note, Coach Joe Cattolico is the son of famed Coach Butch Cattolico of Los Gatos. There is little doubt that the son is following the successful footsteps of the father.
